Shawnae Cook, President
Shawnae was born and raised in the Rockies of Utah and found her passion for the culinary industry while working for a bean-to-bar chocolate company in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she attended Liberty University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. Shawnae founded Pan and Cake Catering in 2018, together with the company’s executive chef, Josie Patterson. When she is away from the Pan and Cake kitchen, Shawnae enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband and two malamutes.


Josie Patterson, Executive Chef
Josie is a local to Champaign and the surrounding communities. Her love and passion for food took her to the Art Institute of Tampa where she graduated with honors in Culinary and Hospitality Management. She specializes in modern, upscale American gourmet but has a passion for Mexican, Asian, and soul inspired foods. The kitchen is her dance floor, and you can usually find her with a venti iced caramel macchiato in-hand. She is a mama to a beautiful little girl that brings just as much fun and sass to the team as she does.
Allison Reiling, Pastry Chef
Allison has been a local to the Champaign area for the last decade, and has been practicing the art of baking even longer. Her passion for baking has been passed down through family generations. She ha s been baking professionally since she was 18, and is considering a school in culinary arts. She loves having the opportunity to use her creative abilities to explore different flavors and techniques to create not only desserts, but works of art.


Hali Carpenter, Event Coordinator
Hali is a Champaign area native with a passion for events and bringing people together. She attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she majored in Theatre. With a theatrical background and crative nature, she was quickly drawn to the world of events. Over the last 8 years, she has worked in the wedding industry in various roles ranging from photography to bartending, but has always found herself passionate about coordination with her innate attention to detail. When Hali is not busy with events, she enjoys travel, hiking, and trying new foods with her husband and their three kids.
